The Olympus

The brain behind every Canyon-powered space. Two independently controlled 0–10V dimming zones with millivolt precision, dual 16A relays rated 120/277V, and daisy-chainable CAN Bus ports for plug-and-play connection to every Canyon device. Bluetooth programming, onboard timeclock, and daylight-harvesting support come standard.

Key features

Every intelligent space needs a brain

Millivolt 0–10V dimming

Two independent dimming zones with smooth, flicker-free response — tuned for modern LED drivers and warm-dim curves.

Dual 16A relays

Two switched 16A relays rated 120/277V — robust enough for high-load circuits, quiet enough for executive spaces.

CAN Bus connectivity

Two RJ45 ports on Cat5e (T568B) — daisy-chain devices or home-run them back. Auto-programs from zone selector dials.

Bluetooth programming

Program from your phone via the Canyon app — scenes, schedules, dimming curves, and multi-controller coordination.

Battery-backed timeclock

Onboard real-time clock with battery backup runs scheduled events — on/off times, dim levels, and scene triggers — independent of the network.

Daylight harvesting

When paired with the Sierra, the Olympus trims dim levels automatically based on ambient light — effortless energy savings.

Installation

From crate to commissioned in minutes

01

Mount

Install in a standard J-box or above ceiling. Wire line voltage in, loads out.

02

Connect

Daisy-chain Canyon devices over Cat5e, or home-run each device to the Olympus.

03

Commission

Auto-programs from zone dials on each device, or fine-tune scenes and schedules in the Canyon app.

Works out of the box

Every device auto-programs from the back.

The Olympus is designed for zero-config install. Every Canyon device plugged into it — Aspens, Tahomas, Sierras — uses the same 3-position zone selector on the back to tell the Olympus what to control. Default to position 0 and the device handles both lighting zones and both relays. Want finer control? Set individual positions, or override everything in the Canyon app via Bluetooth.

0
All zones

Controls both lighting zones and both 16A relays on the Olympus. The default — and the right pick for 90% of rooms.

1
Zone 1 only

Dedicates this device to the first lighting zone on its Olympus.

2
Zone 2 only

Dedicates this device to the second lighting zone on its Olympus.

Complex jobs, too: the Olympus stores app-programmed overrides in its onboard memory — so even if power is cut, your scenes, schedules, and dimming curves are preserved. Local settings are the default; the app is the override.
